Welcome to the home of the 79th Infantry Division!

The 79th Infantry Division, established in 2009, is a Day of Defeat: Source unit focusing on mature, respectable gameplay. Our goals are to focus on teamwork and successful gaming while providing an adult and fun DoD:S experience for mature individuals. We are not a realism unit, but we use a ranking system to denote seniority and the amount of contribution of members. We closely resemble a realism unit in the fact that we use the rank structure and require all new members to go through 'boot camp'. We also present with various medals based on their accomplishments and their conduct. But what separates us from a realism unit is that we do not do drills, formations, or have weapon class restrictions based on rank. We have left out a lot of what we call, 'the extremities'.
